Privacy Policy

Who we are

GLA Technologies Inc. (“GLA”, “we”, “us”) is a Canadian corporation based in Ontario that builds supply chain software. This policy covers our company website, www.glatech.ca (the “site”).

We are responsible for the personal information we collect through the site. We handle it in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for visitors in Quebec, Quebec’s private-sector privacy law as amended by Law 25. Our Privacy Officer is accountable for this policy and can be reached as described under Contact us.

What we collect

We collect as little as we can:

• What you send us. The contact form asks for your name, work email, company (optional) and a message about the gap you want closed. We also note which page you sent it from.
• How you found us. Your message arrives with first-touch marketing attribution: the page where you first landed on the site, the site that referred you, and any campaign tags in the link you followed (UTM parameters or an ad click identifier). None of this is sent unless you send the form.
• Server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting records standard technical information with each request: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time.
• Aggregate analytics, only if enabled. We may use a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service that counts visits in aggregate: pages viewed, referring sites, country, device type and clicks on buttons such as “Book a call”. It is designed not to identify individual visitors or follow them across other websites.

What we don’t do

• We don’t sell, rent or trade your personal information.
• We don’t use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or cross-site tracking. In fact, the site sets no cookies at all.
• The only thing the site keeps in your browser is the attribution detail described above, held in your tab’s session storage so it can travel with your message if you write to us. It stays on your device unless you send the form, and it is erased when you close the tab.
• We don’t make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.
• The site is meant for businesses and is not directed at children.

Why we use it

We use your information only for the purposes below, and we will ask for your consent before using it for anything new. By sending the form you consent to these uses, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.

• To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask, set up a call or a product demo.
• To understand which channels (search, social posts, partner sites, campaigns) bring us enquiries, so we put our effort in the right places.
• To keep the site secure and working: blocking spam and abuse, and fixing errors.
• To meet our legal obligations.

Contacting us doesn’t sign you up for anything. We won’t add you to a mailing list or send you marketing email without your consent.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the site and answer you, and only what each one needs:

• website hosting and infrastructure, which serve the site and keep its server logs;
• email delivery and business email, which carry your message to our inbox and our reply to you;
• privacy-friendly analytics, if enabled;
• appointment scheduling, if you book a call.

These providers are bound by contract to protect your information and to use it only to provide their services to us. Some of them store or process data in Canada or the United States. While your information is outside Canada (or outside Quebec), it is subject to the laws there and may be accessible to that jurisdiction’s courts, law enforcement and national security authorities.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it or, under confidentiality obligations, to a buyer or successor if our business is reorganized, merged or sold.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries (form messages and their attribution details): kept for up to 24 months after our last exchange, then deleted. If you become a customer, we keep what we need as part of your customer records for as long as the relationship requires.
• Server logs: kept briefly, generally no longer than 30 days, unless we need them to investigate a security incident.
• Session storage in your browser: cleared when you close the tab.
• Analytics: aggregate statistics only, which don’t identify you.

When we no longer need personal information, we delete it or anonymize it.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
• correct it if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
• withdraw your consent and ask us to delete it, subject to any legal obligation to keep it.

To make a request, contact us. We will reply within 30 days and may first need to confirm your identity. If you live in Quebec, you have additional rights under Quebec law, including data portability, and you can also contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle a privacy concern, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (www.priv.gc.ca).

How we protect it

The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections. The contact form is validated and rate-limited to block abuse, enquiries are available only to the people at GLA who need them to respond, and we choose service providers with strong security practices.

No website or email system is perfectly secure, so we can’t promise absolute security. If a breach involving your information creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the Privacy Commissioner as the law requires.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when our practices change and show the new effective date at the top of this page. If we make a significant change, we will say so here.
